Conceptual Physical Interfaces for Midi Production

I just stumbled across this website showcasing all these striking and conceptual midi interfaces. The person behind the site is a smart gal named Amanda Ghassei and I am hugely impressed by her work. She builds prototypes using Arduino open-source microcontrollers. Her physical interfaces are truly amazing. I wish I could get my hands on these things and create some music because they would look great in a live performance or even fooling around in a studio session. Apparently, she also likes Dilla (she might be my dream girl) as she manipulates a sample with her Sugarcube interface below.

Review: Koss PortaPro

Just copped these Koss PortaPro headphones and they are the best overall headphones I have ever owned. They look like something Michael J. Fox would jump out the DeLorean with while bumping Hall and Oates. But haters stop hating. These guys are amazing and the whole 80s vintage thing is kind of hot right now so it works out. Overall, these headphones boast a crisp and clear sound. All the highs, mids, and lows combine nicely for a full lush sound to jam to. For those that like those hard hitting lows (like…ahem..me) you won’t be disappointed. Right now I am listening to Jaylib and the kicks are punching the hell out of my ear drums. You can pick these up on Amazon for 40 dollars and that’s a steal.

verdict: RAD

Scale:
bad: its wack son
mad: OK… but something about it bothers me
rad: a diamond soaking in unicorn tears
